Location: York, PA
Business: Maintenance and Janitorial Company
Purpose of Loan: Working Capital and Property Acquisition
Impact: Economic Security

Bob and Alissa Williams are cleaning up with their small business. Established in 2002, RW Maintenance started by offering basic janitorial services. Since then, the business expanded its scope of services to include commercial office cleaning, construction site cleaning, and customized property maintenance for businesses, real estate investors and developers throughout central PA.

While their business was growing, the Williams ran into problems receiving timely payments from contract jobs. The lull between payments hampered their ability to take on new work, so they started searching for financing to bridge the gap. After experiencing rejections from traditional banks, they explored alternative lending options and found Community First Fund. We provided Bob and Alissa with a line of credit to help support the business’s cash flow and allow them to grow their customer base.

Soon after, they returned to Community First to help solve another problem holding back RW Maintenance. They had been leasing multiple spaces for warehousing equipment and supplies and running the company office. This resulted in hours of extra driving time and mounting rental costs. After Bob and Alissa found the perfect property to consolidate their business under one roof, we provided them with a loan to purchase the building, giving them ample space for future growth.
