COVID-19 Loans and Grants
We’re here for you in these uncertain times and we want to help see your business through the COVID-19 crisis. Community First Fund offers financing to small businesses in moderate to low income communities in central and eastern Pennsylvania. We focus on business loans for minorities, women, nonprofit organizations, community development, educational opportunity, access to food and healthcare resources, and affordable housing… all intended to help build healthy communities.
• Berks County Small Business New Start Grant Program
The Berks County Small Business New Start Grant Program is a grant program developed by the Berks County Commissioners, Greater Reading Chamber Alliance and Community First Fund to support the restart and recovery efforts of small businesses and nonprofit organizations located in Berks County. This program will dedicate $6 million for small business grants of up to $50,000 for eligible businesses negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. • YoCo Strong Restart Fund
The YoCo Strong Restart Fund is a grant program developed by the York County Commissioners, York County Economic Alliance and Community First Fund to support the restart and recovery efforts of small businesses and nonprofit organizations located in York County. This program will dedicate $10 million for small business support, and $4 million for nonprofit support. Grants amount will be up to $35,000 for eligible organizations negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. • Pennsylvania $225 Million Grant Program for Small Businesses Impacted by COVID-19
The application window for the second round of the COVID-19 Relief Pennsylvania Statewide Small Business Assistance program is now closed. All grant applicants will receive notice of their application status in the coming weeks. • Lebanon City Small Business Recovery Assistance Program
The Lebanon City Small Business Recovery Assistance Program is a new loan fund developed by the City of Lebanon and Community First Fund to provide emergency relief to small businesses struggling under the financial impact of COVID-19. The Emergency Fund is designed to help small businesses located within the City of Lebanon, PA by providing access to forgivable loans to support business recovery efforts.

• Reading Small Business Emergency Fund
The Reading Small Business Emergency Fund is a new fund created by the City of Reading and Community First Fund to provide emergency financial relief to small “mom-and-pop” businesses located in Reading, PA. This fund will provide small and very small businesses access to forgivable loans at multiple funding levels to help them overcome the devastating economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

• Lancaster City Small Business Emergency Fund
The Lancaster City Small Business Emergency Fund is a new fund created by Community First Fund and our partners to provide emergency financial relief to small businesses in the City of Lancaster. This fund will provide small and very small businesses access to loans and grants to help them overcome the devastating economic impact caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Community First Fund will be administering the Small Business Loans portion of the fund.

• SBA Paycheck Protection Program Loan
We are no longer accepting applications for the SBA Paycheck Protection Program. If you are seeking funding through the SBA Paycheck Protection Program, we encourage you to contact your local bank or credit union.
The U.S. Small Business Administration’s Paycheck Protection Program offers favorable financing for small businesses to help keep their workforce employed during the Coronavirus/COVID-19 crisis. Eligibility requirements for this program are as follows:
- This program is for any small business with less than 500 employees (including sole proprietorships, independent contractors and self-employed persons), private non-profit organization or 501(c)(19) veterans organizations affected by Coronavirus/COVID-19.
- Must be located in a Qualified Low Income Community.
- Loan applications beyond $500,000 will require special approval from Community First Fund senior management.
