Small Business Loans

At Community First Fund, we know small businesses are the lifeblood of our economy and communities. Our Small Business Loans target both start-ups and established businesses poised for growth that are unable to secure financing from traditional banks.

We understand that every business is different. Our lenders will work with you to determine the lending and technical assistance options that best suit your specific needs and financial situation. Our Small Business Loans fall into two categories:

Microloan

Microloans are for businesses that require less than $50,000 for start-up or expansion. They are a financing option for borrowers that don’t have access to other sources of capital. Borrowers are usually sole proprietors that have been in business for less than two years. Loan proceeds are generally used for machinery and equipment purchases, site improvements, working capital, inventory, materials and supplies, and expansion.

Our Philadelphia office offers a unique microlending group opportunity called Affinity Group Lending. To learn more, click here.

Small Business Loan

Small Business Loans are for projects that require more capital than a microloan can provide. Loan proceeds are generally used to support the increased capital needs of maturing businesses and may be used for such things as expanding or improving the business site, machinery and equipment purchases, working capital, inventory, materials and supplies, and expansion.
